    Nero 7 DVD RW

    Hi,

My Sony DWD26a DVD RW doesnt work with Nero 7. I can't find any firmware updates for it at all. ( think it's becuase it's OEM )

I need a DVD RW that will work with Nero 7. Money is no object and i like the look of that Plextor Slot loading drive.

Could advise me on what drive i should get?

    Thanks

    Darren
EDIT: oh by the way it works fine everytime with Nero 6.

If money is no object then buy the most expensive drive you can afford

The NEC drives will do the job, only £30 too. Never used a Plextor drive, but seeing as they're double the price of other drives I would imagine they're pretty damn good. I've ben looking at the SATA version 755SA just under £70 on Scan.

I bought a Plextor PX708A two and a half years ago when the were by todays prices silly money (£170) - it has been fabulous - solid and reliable. When I finally decide I need Dual layer DVD writing (actually when I buld my next PC later this years) I would be surprised if I didn't go with Plextor again. The Plextor PX-740A is only about £40

However to add to choice the Asus DRW-1608P is excellent, as is Lite-On SOHW1693S and Samsung SE-W164.... check them out and take you pick!
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
