Don't forget that by raising the FSB you might have to drop the Hypertransport Multiplyer from say 5x down to 4x and 3x to get the frequency back to 1000/2000 Mhz ( depending on how it's measured )

probably won't go lower than CAS 2.5 then.
    try 2.5-3-3-7 @DDR400

You will get much better performance overclocking the cpu and leaving ram at DDR400 otherwise why buy an FX60? There is little performance boost running at DDR400 to DDR500.

So would you think that by increasing the CPU FSB to 250MHZ, upping the voltage to around the 1.5 mark, then setting the memory at DDR400 with the voltage at around 2.9 I would get the best performance out of my system?

I am using a 1GB XFX 7950 GX2 with this so I am hoping that I will get some decent performance on my Dell 3007WFP. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of set-up?

you dont even need to change the fsb, just up the multiplier first and get an idea of the max speed it will do

it should be on 13x200 now, so the next step is 2.7ghz, 13.5x200

if it doesnt work give it some more volts then try again, and keep doing that in small voltage steps up to a max of 1.550v

youll get nice easy overclocks of 100mhz each time then once youve found a limit (you might want to keep the voltage down at 1.450 or 1.500v to save some stress on the chip) you can fiddle with the fsb to get the last few mhz if you want to

for the fsb fiddling youll need to overly slow down the ram to keep it out of the equation as it will vary away from what it should be because of the maths, but when youre changing the multi its ok to keep it on DDR400 with whatever timings work

make sure you keep an eye on the core temperature too while your doing everything as 3ghz will always be hot even with an FX chip
