out of stock already?! Nobody has had any stock of the E6600 yet at all! It's well annoying, at this rate they will have every other version before I get mine. And then it wil be September and all Summer wasted... which is typical tbh.

how come its only the OEMs in stock, wats the problem with the retail packs??
One concern regarding retail availability of these chips is that the OEMs such as Dell will tap into Intel for a huge chunk of stock. The remainder may be targetted at the enthusiast segment, of whom most will just replace the stock HSF anyway.Originally Posted by mallett

but also am i right in think that with the oem, you dont get the same warranty as with the retail, i think i read somewhere that you only get a years on the oem, compared to 3 on the retail, or i could just be talking out of my arse
lol!
Very possibly the case.... (the warranty bit...!) Only time I've ever had to return a CPU has been DOA cases, when retail/OEM doesn't really come into it
Good point, I was wondering this...Originally Posted by mallett

Anyone know for sure?

one thing i do know is waiting sucks
probaly worth it tho
Well from what i can gather information wise from intel, it seems like intel don't want to know regarding the OEM products.Originally Posted by dancingmatt
