    I bought the Freezer7 because I plan on overclocking my E6300 at some point (just letting it bed in at the mo). When running Windows the fan doesn't even spin up, with speedfan reporting about 25degC for the CPU and 30degC for the case.

    It's very quiet when it spins up and it looks pretty cool! I'm not familiar with the other products you mention but the Arctic Cooling is cheap and does a great job of cooling.

    How is the speed of your freezer 7's fan controlled? Seen lots of people suggesting it can be controlled but no mention of it where it's being sold

    My motherboard (Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3) controls it (you can choose between about 4 different ways in the BIOS).

    It has a 4-pin connector that plugs into the motherboard.
