Oddly enough it only booted again after i'd had the whole thing out and swapped the heatsink.

Taken out a SATA port, the cable in the port, a PCI slot, PCI-e slot and the Yukon ethernet controller. Everything else seems to be working more or less. Couple of 939 boards going cheap in the FS forum probably just grab one of those or try and get this one to limp the last few monthsbefore it's time for a conroe build.

Its got to be worth a try, will cost you 12 quid to post it to holland and if they say no, you can let them keep it, if they say yes, you get the board repaired or a new board

Fair point, any idea how they'll take it not having a northbridg fan? or should I start rooting about for a set of loong white pushpins?

The zalman ones are just a tiny bit to short. Almost snapped the board in half trying to get the second one in

A mate wants it for his new folding box(he's a bit obsessed with it) seeing as he has san diego athlon that does 2.8. It's a cheap way to get a high overclock. It'll only need to connect one HD and a PCI graphics card. So it's up to him he's offered me £50 for it if it'll get the athlon running at 2.8 stable, which it should do easily. Suprisingly it hasn't effected the overclocking.

A8N32 is on the way to replace it, as soon as that arrives I'll play some more.

I paid £55 for my perfect working order SLI-D, he must be crazy or you must be a very good salesman.

Got to let us know what System Monitoring Progs work with the new board and how they work with the G15, get some photo's of it up and running if you can.

I can be charming when I need to be It's not totally buggered(I've been playing BF2 on it all morning), just a few bits and bobs have gone awry. Could easily keep using it, but I want SLi in the near future and one of the PCI-e slots was a casualty.

I did offer it him free, but he insisted. Be rude to argue
