Ive been looking into Dell's lately, and so have a few friends.
Came with a Geforce 4 chipset. The only downside is that Dell are REALLY slow at releasing updated drivers for it, and you cant just use stop ones because the laptop has custom functionality (screen resolution, TV-OUT etc).

The TV OUT is really good actually. 1024x768 and the colours are pretty good.

As for gaming, the laptop is great. Not sure what the response time is on the screen but there is very little blurring, and most games I throw at it run pretty well as long as you dont try and play them at insane resolutions.

The only downside is the fan can get pretty loud when the processor and GPU are running at full power, but I think you will get that anywhere.

I work on the laptop all day and use it in the evening for gaming and I am pretty happy with it. The only other downside is the keyboard which feels a little cheap.

Introducing the world's fastest, most spectacular, desirable, and full featured super-notebook PC ever built.
I think that's worthy of the challenge dave.

Sager are the ones who normally sell the same laptops as Alienware, cept they cost about 30% so it may be worth looking at them...

We are just breaking in to the systems market from learning from the ground up what is hardcore within a system and what isnt.
    I'll get cracking thanks!

Well on that count my HP wins easy

I accidently ended up doing 130mph after I passed a 911 Turbo in my (dad's) 530d at a little over 100 and he obviously didn't like that. I was keeping up with him for about a second

Sagerites will raise hell if they're not included in the test. Never heard about Liebermann before but they look to have some sick rigs. Plus for the more sensible lot, tossing in a Dell wouldn't hurt. So there are your usual suspects:
Voodoo, Alienware, Sager, Dell and Libermann.

Yeah im buying a voodoo M-750 or a M-855. The price is $4300 US, and im only 17 years old! So there is a big market for them. Voodoo is very busy and is selling systems like no tomorrow. Also im betting the Voodoo will win, they always do when it comes to alienware vs voodoo.

    (waits for ban )

I can't afford any of the cars reviewed on it but I still like watching Top Gear.......its not about need, sometimes its just nice to aspire.
