No one has mentioned the Thermalright SI-128,
Hi Clunk. It's funny i looked at that as probably being better than the 120 ultra, mostly for the reasons u mention. But looking at reviews etc., it seems the 120 ultra has the edge (as far as cooling the cpu anyway )

    Luck

I agree, the towers are efficient at cooling the CPUs, but don't cool the mobo/memory in the same way that traditional designs do.

The Ninja Plus doesn't overtake the Infinity on reviews I found, and indeed doesn't seem to have been covered in reviews which look at Core2duo setups. I presume that is because the reviewers think the Infinity superior.

But most of these products will do the job if you have a well-ventilated case; and that doesn't necessarily mean having large numbers of fans - some cases just don't have good airflow, for example my current Antec has much better airflow than the Lian Li I had previously.

Marcvs - Clunk's got a SI-128 for sale, hint hint

I would go for one of the Sycthe ones (not the Samurai though as I think it's a bit old) where you can change the fan.

    I've got a Ninja Plus on an X2 4200.

Edit: The Tuniq is good as well.

Another vote for Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - which I plan to put on my new E6700..... Unless someone can persuade me there is better (need quiet) air?
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

I dont need the memory cooler because I have dominator airflow fans (came with my ram) so seems a little pointless to get one of those and with 5 fans and various vents my case keeps pretty cool as it is
