Thumbs up LOMAC online game tomorrow night, usual time/place

    Briefing:

Gents, we've been tasked with escorting a Tanker and AWACs plane. Command couldn't spare Su33's/27's so we've been left with it's little brother the MiG29. Trouble isn't expected, though we can't exactly leave these expensive birds fly through a potentially dangerous area when tensions between the two coalitions are running somewhat high. They'd be an ideal target...

The tanker and AWACs are already in the air and should be overflying our start point as we get into the air. They won't be flying too quick so we should easily be able to catch them. The MiG has got short legs so be careful with your use of the burner though I'm sure the tanker will let you top up.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled guys, we can't afford to lose these birds!

A little bird has told me that if you're not the host and you try to midair refuel it seems that the baskets don't deploy until you're right on top of the tanker. It does work, but you've got to be VERY close. If you've not got experience with midair refuelling I suggest you go practice Russian style quick.

I was trying to cover up your name in case it doesn't work and we all plummet to the deck without fuel, a bit like a fly after being done over with flyspray.

Oh well lads, if it doesn't work you know who to blame now

My fuel management leaves a lot to be desired so i hope it works! Rest assured i'll be spiralling to the deck before anyone else....

Yeah found this out the hard way when testing the mission last night.

    Looks like it's Su33's then...

On a side note I've been unable to get the tanker to respond in multiplayer, so we might end up doing something completely different. Need more time to have another go tonight.

Well it's either than of F15s, but to be honest the F15 is a GIT to refuel in midair due to the **** refuelling system the yanks use.

Believe me it's easier the Russian way.

The F15 is the only plane I've learnt to fly so far

    it's a slow process
