Right.. since we've not really used the F15 much recently I thought it might be a bit of fun to use the old Eagle.
So here's the brief...
Ladies and Gents..
Let's be honest - as much as we hate to admit it, the war isn't going too well at the moment and we're losing ground to the Russians/Ukranians. We recently lost the an airbase to the South East due to a suprise Russian paratrooper attack. The Russian forces swiftly moved in and re-esablished this airfield as their own. Reconnaissance shows that they've moved in air defenses to stop us from doing the same thing to them and since they've got a heavy ground presence we can't move in from the ground and storm the field.
So, brass has decided rather than try and take the field back, we'll disable it permenantly. A co-ordinated strike on the field is planned, of which we'll be flying a Fighter Sweep, taking out any air threats to the package as a whole.
The package will consist of:
2x B1's (Runway attack)
4x F16C (SEAD)
4x F15 (Fighter Sweep / CAP)
2x A10 (Ground attack, mopping up)
Obviously this is quite a package and due to the routes the aircraft will be taking (see flight) there's rather a lot to look after. The strike on the airfield itself will take place in the following order: F16s go in first to mop up as much of the air defense as possible, 1 min later B1's flatten the airfield, then another minute later A10's nail anything that's left. Meanwhile we're circling the area.. Should any aircraft try to scramble from the field we have permission to straff them on the deck.
We don't know what sort of air threat will be posed, but it's fair to imagine they'll have interceptors at such an important airfield for controlling this region. Defend the package at all costs! Even though the air defenses at the airfield are easily taken out by our more advanced anti radar missiles, they're no good if the aircraft firing them don't make it in one piece to the target zone!
Don't let us down.
