oh come on guys... more effort pls

    I want details.....

Hawker Hind on an evening patrol over France maybe, sunsetting and warm golden sunlight dappling the channel?

English Electric Lightning going vertical at Duxford infront of all your mates.. and not levelling off until it's out of sight?

Red Arrow in the cross over?

Lysander in the dark, over Normandy?

Re: Which ONE aircraft would you take a flight in given one wish?

I'm torn here... torn in a huge way.

IL-2 mission over Russia? First light, freezing cold, thundering over the russian steppe at grass height?

Looping an I-153 until my legs go numb over the mountains?

still not, even with all the magic.. not enough.....

i think it has to be a Yak9, bright sunshine... light glinting from the wings and canopy, as I barrel roll lazily over the mountains and around and through the massive fluffy clouds

    Oh god so many choices!

Erm either an F18 Super Hornet, being slingshotted off a carrier into the sunset on a warm pacifc oceon evening. Twin afterburners lighting up the surroundings.

Or I do have to go back to the almost cliche'd answer of a a gloriously sunny summers day, not a cloud in site, and I'm flying LOW over the English countryside with a merlin V12 rumbling away.

Re: Which ONE aircraft would you take a flight in given one wish?

I'm going to go completely in the face of all the suggestions so far and say....

    ...Concorde.

I fly aswell as a proverbial non flying thing, so smooth comfort surrounded by friends would be the way to go. Start at Heathrow, onto New York then California, then via Tokyo/Singapore and home.

See more of the world in 48 hours than I have previously, and at a rediculously fast pace with enormous comfort. And who hasn't wanted to break the sound barrier with a G&T in hand?

    Probably an odd one.....

A hercules transport plane. Take off from somewhere green and pleasant in blighty, get nice and high, open the loading doors and take a running jump.

Sorry Zakky, for me its more fun leaving the plane than being in one!

Yup. If you liked 607 have a look out for "Phoenix Squadron" by the same author. Its about the Buccs during the Guatemala/Honduras crisis.

Oh and as for location, it's gotta be screaming up the West Coast of Scotland at max chat and no height
