    Mmmmmm

I'm waiting for the GR3 Monty's working on - the current SeaHarrier looks the dogs but its roll rate is seriously borked, plus the Falklands terrain project isn't quite finished yet..

It's only like that on "hard" - the F-15C is the same (btw a new version of that should be out this weekend).

I've finally got hold of a copy.

My initial reactions are a bit cautious. The gameplay is quite furious and a lot of fun, but this doesn't really feel like a combat flight simulator to me. It's a little too arcadish. I can imagine myself getting bored with it quite quickly.

The flight models don't seem very realistic either. I'm going to download some of the one's listed on this thread and see what they're like.

I haven't downloaded the patch yet. Anyone know where I can get it from?

Arcadish - I can see that angle. Strike Fighters tends to tread the fine line between Arcade and simulator, it can do this without the need for complicated avionics because essentially its a 50s/60s combat simulator, so keystroke-wise its on a par with IL2, however yes you can tailor the game to be very arcade if you desire.

The patch changes A LOT, including flight models as before the patch the FMs were certainlty a tad dodgy.

You will need to install Service pack 2 , NOT 1

the patch makes a big difference. I've always found the settings to turn off those annoying airstarts.

started to download a few other planes. I can't the SU17 to work properly, it slides around the sky flying sideways and stuff - very weird.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use the AIM 7, I guess it has something to do with radar targeting.
