    Wings Of War!!

Was wondering around town today and came across a flight simmer thats looks as good as our beloved IL2FB.

its called Wing Of War (set in world war 1) and costs £19.99 from game, and is on a DVD rom.

it recommended specs are as stiff IL2's and it looks marvallous...

has anyone got this game or played a demo what do you think of it...cos awfully tempted to buy it because it looks great!!

Not as good as IL2, but the graphics and immersion quality are relly top notch, the best of any WWI sim so far and better then most WWII sims.
The WWI sim community of SWWISA is working on it to improve things from a basically arcade type game to something that could be much, much, more. There are already several patch improvements here at SimHQ: http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boa...bb=forum;f=116
Take a look at the screenshots and movies on this site, you won't believe it!
    http://www.polovski.co.uk/Movies/WoW...ies/movies.htm
And, it's extremly reasonaly priced at less then $20
Comes in Xbox and Pc versions

jut watched a couple of the film clips. At first it looks really arcade-stylee. Then it occurs that its all very.... fast and close up, which is quite WW1 so thats good. Then Inoticed the terrain is very mountainous, something that Il2 misses out on.

Then I looked at it again, and thought "nahh..."

    thanks for the heads up

Oh dear! Just watched one of those videos. It looks awful. Really nasty. We could do with a decent ww1 sim though.

The screenies look a bit like Strike Fighters. A good or a bad thing depending on your standpoint (i say it sucks)

They have licenced the engine from Thirdwire.
Personally in its latest form I really like SF P1 but i'm not a multi-player & that is probably its greatest weakness these days afaik.
