    Book experts here please (Dak?)

I have had "Black Cross Red Star - The air war over the eastern front" on order at Amazon for several weeks. Today it arrives...well actually it appears to be...

"Black Cross Red Star - The air war over the Eastern Front - Volume 2 Resurgence January-June 1942"

    Have I been had?

    Also I have

"Black Cross/Red Star: The Air War Over the Eastern Front: Operation Barbarossa 1941 v. 1 "

on pre-order (looking for it 2nd hand etc).

Having worked for Amazon I can tell you that sometimes the book details are pretty scant (they rely on feeds from information providers - bookdata, whittakers - and often the smaller publishers don't give much information), especially when the book is of minority interest and not often ordered.

Double check the isbn number on the book (you'll find it on the title page, and also next to the barcode), with the isbn on your invoice/receipt/online account records (see - recently dispatched items). If they are the same you haven't been had, you've just unwittingly ordered a book you hadn't intended to. If they are different you've been sent the wrong book - very unlikely because of the way the Amazon distribution centre picking and sending system works, but it does happen. Amazon are good when it comes to refunds - so if need be box it up and send it back to the address at Ridgemont.

Thanks Zak, it's beginning to make some sense now. Volume 1 is the one I have on "pre-order" (basically a wanted request) and the one I received is volume 2 (£21). Looks like a long wait then for Volume 1 to be reprinted.

In my mind when I ordered them I had them the other way around.
