Don't worry, I doubt I'll be getting anywhere fast, will need some good help when reaching level 20 anyway, as most (probably all) lvl 20+ lands are contested and you'll need to watch your back.Originally Posted by Mblaster
Am really looking forward to it though so am gonna try and get to lvl 20 as quickly as possible just to survive (the mobs) out there, then if I see someone, hide or sprint away, unless I think I can take them on!
Rogues have some great evasion abilities, i can't ramember what you have at your current level but you will have, blind, vanish, evasion (inc. dodge change), and the normal stealth. Where are you planning to put your talent points as a rogue?Originally Posted by Allen

Ahh, that's what I've been waiting to see you online and talk to you about! I'm level 15 and haven't used any yet! (got 5)Originally Posted by Mblaster
Can't remember the names, but the assassinations ones look good and so does stealth (could come in handy for a pvp server). I already have the skill to give me from a 25% dodge rate to a 75% dodge rate (absolutely wicked skill!) and have a 10+% chance to deal a crit. Don't have blind or vanish yet.
I'm telling you, Night Elves make excellent Rogues due to the extra Agility they have!! Now I need to get some +agi eq!
I have only one thing to say to that:Originally Posted by redpiggy

The first choice to make is if you want to be a backstab/ambush rogue, or a combat rogue. Being a BS/Amb rogue limits you to using a dagger in your main hand, but allows you to deal massive damage from behind, whereas as a combat rogue you can use swords and maces in your main hand (for their generally higher DPS).Originally Posted by Allen
I surgest you get Imp. Sinister Strike 2/2 first, as it's very useful.
I chose to be a BS/Amb rogue and this is where i put my talents:
Assassination Talents (30 points)
Improved Eviscerate - 3/3 points
Malice - 5/5 points
Murder - 2/2 points
Ruthlessness - 3/3 points
Improved Slice and Dice - 3/3 points
Relentless Strikes - 1/1 point
Lethality - 5/5 points
Improved Kidney Shot - 2/3 points
Cold Blood - 1/1 point
Seal Fate - 5/5 points
Combat Talents (8 points)
Improved Gouge - 3/3 points
Improved Sinister Strike - 2/2 points
Improved Backstab - 3/3 points
Subtlety Talents (13 points)
Camouflage - 5/5 points
Opportunity - 5/5 points
Improved Ambush - 3/3 points

Thanks for that, it sounds good. Improved Sinister Strike does sound like a good start, I'm always using it. At the mo, my current attack plan is:
Ranged weapon x2 (gun at the mo), Sinister Strike, Gouge, BS, Sinister Strike and Eviscerate. Kills everything about 1-2 levels above me whilst taking little damage. Same level or lower doesn't need the 2nd Sinister Strike.
Thing is that still gets me, is the blooming miss rate whilst using duel wield! It's amazingly high, but not as high as my undead. Also, I'm sure Rogues can use 1H Swords, but I can't find an Alliance Weapon Master to teach it to me...
I recommend you use stealth and ambush them rather than starting with the ranged weapon (unless you need to pull). I never use ranged when soloing on my rogue.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
