Good place to farm gold?

Should hit lvl40 when I get home from work tonight, been IAE grinding getting about 20k+ exp/hr since lvl38 ..
Seem to be gathering about 2-4g/hour but only have about 36g atm & need 90 for my mount

I've heard instance runs are a good way to earn gold fast.. but which instance at this level? (will be doing the run with a lvl40 druid).

Stranglethorn is awesome IIRC (haven't played in a while, but I remember earning loads there via grinding raptors and trolls).

STV is good; I have about 12 quests that need completing there.. /but/ it's full of horde on my server and is impossible to do anything for more than 10mins without being ganked.
(last time my m8 and I tried to leave booty bay we were jumped by two lvl45's and one lvl?? after about 10ft from leaving the guards.. respawned, tried to leave again.. only to have them kill us again, thats how bad it is.. gah I hate horde).

get used to it. it's a lot more frequent for horde to suffer that, because there's a lot more alliance than horde.

pft, well I never gank.. I even wave/bow or something.. but they always turn around and kill me.
Like last night, ran past a lvl30.. I left him just waved..
He came back with 3 other lvl30-33's.. and killed me.. though I managed to do some decent damage with IAE first.

and actually; my server is 51% horde, 49% alliance afaik?..

try farming the ogres in alterac. they are great for silk and a few bits, and some decent cash (bout 2 silver each on average.) that is where i earnt most my money. hardly touched STV. got the money finally at lvl 41

Get a few people together and do a load of SM runs, the right hand side is probably the easiest to grind as there are lots of non-elites that drop the same ammount of money as the elites, and the respawn time is quite good IIRC.

Arathor is stuck at 75% Alliance, 25% Horde

Character wise, your server is 53% Horde, 47% Alliance, but the activity ratio is 1:1 which is pretty good IMO. A nice balanced server.

That's pretty horrendous. During peak play times (evenings) it gets right up to 3:1. No wonder the Alliance are bored and have to gank XR every 5 mins!

Scarlet Monastery : Graveyard side as slarys said,
Level 31 - 34 non elites and elites.
Respawn is very quick, 2 level 40's should clear the area, the control the spawns, green drops are very high, and usually gain about 10 - 15 silver per grioup of 3 ghosts that are non elite

There is also a boss that drops a nice blue orb, offhand item, 2 or 3 rare spawns aswell

Advice : Set you hearthstone to brill, grind till bags full (Silk and greens) , hearth to brill, repeat process till RICH!!

but i feel a lvl 40 alliance char would have a bit of trouble with that one
