    Tornado model

    Now I've got the flat sorted, I can get on with the old model kits again

    So this is the beginning of a 1/48 Tornado GR4, its a resin Tornado IDS cockpit by Neomega which I've converted into a GR4 pit by adding some extra screens and bits, this will be added to the kit to substitute the less detailed kit version.

    Thats pre-shading mate.

    Imagine if you painted a black cross on a wall, then tried to paint the whole wall white with only one coat - you would still see cross showing through as a darker colour - same technique

    I prime the whole thing in white, then airbrush all the panel lines in black. Then when you coat the whole model in a thin layer of your chosen colour, the darker paint shows through around the panel lines - and this is the result

    Must be firefox again, this is why I swapped to opera at home for this very reason, may aswell do it at work to. Will fire up IE for now to see the pics.
