Again, thanks for the info all helpin alot and will also post all this on our guild forum

The rogues we use for ZG two of the have SC full kit, Knol blade +rends off hand which i can say is very nice. I use Knol blade in main hand Lobo (AV dagger) in offhand, i have split ALOT of my kit up, My chance to crit is not TO high but is nice enough to crit quite offen (19.XX%) I have around +4% extra chance to HIT (and plus the +5% though talents) but ALOT of Str and Stam. IMO Combat spec rogues are much much better for PvE as you said you need to maintain DPS which a combat rogue can do without a doubt and is one of the reasons we have done quite well for our 3rd run (IMO anyways)

i cant realllly comment to much on the caster side or other melee/ranged

Only problem i find is trying to explain to the other two rogues that the reason i wipe the floor with their DPS is SLICE AND DICE! omg -.- why dont ALL rogues use this? i use it as my second finisher in any fight... normally if fighting elites like in ZG it would be a 3 or 4 point evis and one or two point slice and dice next and normally compared to the 2 rogues who dont use it i come around around 7 - 10% more then them in overall damage (not sure about the % higher on DPS never checked)

combat kicks ass at 60 pvp can tell you that for nothin ^ ^ as long as you got a high end damage one handed sword. Knol blade the most popular one is amazing

and I normally win 6/10 warrior fights low agility FTW i got about 9% chance to dodge and about 16% chance to parry/steal weapon

I'm sad, my graphics card has thrown a major wobbler and I've been without WoW for a while now. However, since I've not been playing WoW, my life seems to be getting better. I'm doing better at work, my relationship with my g/f is better, I feel better about life etc... so I think I'm not gonna come back when the graphics card is returned from RMA.

Maybe I'll come back to see the expansion, but I will certainly be capping my playtime as it was taking over my life, and sadly I let it. Till then, my Mage, my Warrior, my Rogue and my Hunter (and countless alts ) will be laying dormant.

    Things you want in PvE:
Tanks: stamina, defence, resistances for certain bosses.
DPS: don't need as much stamina as shouldn't be hit(apart from aoe) if aggro is controlled properly. You want steady damage - so I guess +hit and such for rogues, rather than +crit - which can be a good way to gain aggro and hence die. Rogues are squishy. Don't do silly things like super duper crit ambushes before tank has aggro.
You want your casters to have enough mana to last the fight and +damage and +hit to make an impact - plus crit is a good way to get your party wiped - a few crit frostbolts can steal aggro off a tank.
Your priests will want to have good spirit so they can regen mana throughout the fight and plus healing so their heals are strong enough to keep tanks alive.
Warlocks are a funny class for pve - they need lots of Int in PVP coz they don't have time to stand there draining health for mana - but in PVE they need more stamina as it gives them more mana in the end and can easily be replenished by healers.
There's nothing wrong with crit chance in PvE, unbuffed I have just over 34% crit chance, +5% hit chance (another +5% from talents), and 4500hp, although only about 750 attack power. If you know how to control your aggro then you won't keep button mashing after 5 crits in a row and 0 feints against a boss with aggro reduces on the MT. In Molten Core and ZG stamina isn't really an issue for rogues, just stay above 3k unbuffed and you're fine, but it'll help a lot in the second half of BWL and AQ (my record HP is 7200, <3 flasks ).

If you're guild is wearing mainly PvP gear then the biggest problem will probably be healers mana, a few Dire Maul runs can gather some really nice mana regen gear though, also some very nice loot in ZG to get ready for the longer fights in MC.

Slice and dice can be better than eviscerate, but it depends on your gear/spec. S&D will scale to become better as your gear does, and eviscerate will stay the same damage no matter what. A while ago when I was using Perditions Blade/Heartseeker and without Dual Wield spec, I worked out that eviscerate would make more damage than S&D. Now I am using Perditions Blade/Sand Polished Hammer with Dual Wield spec (combat daggers ftw (17/24/10) - great for raiding, crap for everything else) and S&D will give me more damage damage than eviscerate.

IMO Combat spec rogues are much much better for PvE as you said you need to maintain DPS which a combat rogue can do without a doubt and is one of the reasons we have done quite well for our 3rd run (IMO anyways)
The 'burst damage' associated with daggers is only talking about very small preriod of time (1-2seconds), once you're out of energy there is no longer any burst damage. Constant DPS is had by both swords and daggers in PvE, swords with 1 SS every 2 seconds, daggers with 1 BS every 3 seconds. In fact dagger rogues are usually at the top of the damage meters for us, apart from the brief time where Thunderfury was still good, then they nerfed it and he's back below us again. Although we've had ****ty luck on sword/fist weapon drops, a hand full of Brutality blades, 1 Vis'kag, and that's it. No Claw of the Black Drake or Chromatically Tempered Sword or that new one that drops from Fankriss in AQ40.

keep the info comin guys ^ ^ hehe thanks again

I respecced daggers again last night but im not sure if im fully happy with the spec ATM, 21/20/10 mostly crit spec, my crit chance gone to arouind 25 - 26 % but im just wondering... as im STILL not a stealth based rogue i only tend to go in to stealth whiles im right up close to someone (yea i know... silly but its just the way ive always done it ) so i got enough time to litrally just stealth and cheap shot within the second

so i was thinkin... is it worth droppin 10 points from assasin (loosing cold blood) and going to the end of combat... i mean =\ adrenaline rush with backstab... thats pretty harsh if you ask me but dont know if its worth it?

I've wanted to do that, cause AR is such a nice skill. But I end up having to waste talent points in combat tree to make it up to 30 points so I can get AR, once I'm up to 26 points in the combat tree the next 4 are wasted from a PvE dagger point of view. Also, I'd miss Lethality and Relentless Strikes.

If you get into Molten Core and get 5 Nightslayer peices, then Vigor becomes really useful. I had the 31/8/12 for quite a long time and it served me well No longer using 5 Nightslayer though, that's why I switched to combat daggers.

yea can see where you are comin from for AR on the PvE side, on the PvP side id find it slightly easier as Imp Kick can be used very well and a couple of other ones aswell

I would love 120 energy lol GIEF!

Everyone switches to boss, dps till dead. Off-tank picks up boss when she webs, mages/warlocks DPS adds (off tank grabs if he's free).
Yeh found out over the weekend that since patch the fight cant be reset after killing the speaker, but as you say easy enough to kill speaker then switch the DPS to the boss.

Waiting for the RMA on my 6800GT so I tried to play it on my g/f's graphics card, a GF2 200MX or something... ouch, I nearly cried it was so hard to play at 2fps.

Still, am enjoying the break, I'm sure I'll come back and have lots of fun again in a few weeks!
