    Arathor -> Wildhammer Migration

    So, who's gone then? I have. When I left Arathor at the beginning of this year to start playing on Quel'Thalas I sword that one day I would come back to my Warrior. A little while ago I almost did but saw Arathor hadn't changed that much and many guilds didn't need a Warrior. So, when I heard about the migration plans, I jumped at the chance.

    Lots of people have moaned about how quiet it is, I kind of like it. Still the same Alliance to Horde ratio but no lag, not many l33t kiddies running around either, and no more bumping into people I didn't like!

    Also, I regret to say that I don't miss Arathor, though I do miss most of the people I used to play with, but then I haven't played with them for so long they have probably forgotten me!

    I think I'm gonna play my Hunter on Quel'Thalas a lot less now, maybe just to meet up with friends every now and then, who knows. For now, I can get back to my Warrior that I've missed so much and start tanking again!

    Maligned thought about it with some ppl really wanting to jump over for that very reason, no lag. We'v stayed tho, too many ppl didnt want to leave the ppl they know on arathor.

    Dont think it would have bothered me either way tbh, not as if I speak to many ppl outside the guild thesedays. Saying that it sounds as if its mainly been alot of the raid guilds that have moved over so nothing would have changed tbh

    Quite a few raid guilds moved, mostly Alliance. I think one Horde raiding guild is there. There's lots of unguilded people still running around trying to find a guild and a couple have already started up. I've joined a small group of people who moved from another server and have been tanking for them, and we're gonna attempt a few bosses in ZG tonight. Hopefully we can get a few down as it will make recruiting that little bit easier, coz we need a few more healers.

    My old guild on Arathor (Legion Of Hell) debated moving. In the end it would have split the guild in two so they decided to stay put. Although it seems 3 members migrated without saying anything I considered moving Pug over but seeing as i'm not using him i deemed it a bit pointless, so i'm currently playing a NE Priest on a newer server and won't be going back to Pug ever.

    We had migration to wildhammer a couple of weeks ago and no raid guilds moved. From what I understand of the server it's raid guilds are all comparatively new.

    There's quite a few guilds that have migrated here and are just continuing to do what they were doing before, be that raiding ZG and MC, or BWL and AQ. I would say it's about a 50/50 split between new guilds and existing guilds, it's just that some haven't progressed as far as others.

    But then, what would you classify as a raid guild? I suppose it depends on what you do yourself. I would class a guild as being a raid guild if it did any raid of any size, even if it was just UBRS/ZG. Some people (more "leet" people I suppose) might only class guilds that can farm BWL as a raid guild...

    I'd call something a raid guild if their main reason for existing is to raid. That's irrespective of how good they actually are at it.

    The impression I got of wildhammer was that not many raid guilds moved, so those that are there are newly formed. That's not neccessarily a bad thing, newer guilds are often easier to get into and it doesn't mean they suck. I noticed in the raid progress thread on the wildhammer forums that at least one guild has cleared BWL and got a good way into AQ40 which isn't bad going.
