Baby moose jumped out of a bush infront of us as we were driving (slowly) in the RMNP

i don't comment much in here, but i do really like this thread. I never know quite what's coming and it makes for a nice and regular surprise.

These never don't look cool, I remember the airfix kit I had hanging from my ceiling many many years ago.
This reminds me to check out the Desert Strike style games I have wishlisted on Steam and see if they have release dates yet

Couple of weeks back I took a harbour ride with a charity that's helping bring back Osprey into the area. In my head I thought 600mm on a crop would be long enough - I was wrong.. 2x tele if I get a chance to do it again (they're fully booked until the end of the season now). The lack of ringed foot means that this one isn't from the area, but is stopping in on their way south (possibly from Scotland).

Great shot Bob.... Ive just managed to get my first ever emerald willow damselflies, never seen one if 16 years of looking, then found a cluster of at least 6 within 20 feet.... My usual rig, Nikon 7100, Tamron 90mm macro, triple flash arrangement, all single shoit hand held.

I don't like photographing a full moon, but we had that partial eclipse back in Sept

Absolutely amazing. Best I ever get is a light blur somewhere in the distance.

That's great but I managed to capture this on my Samsung S24 Ultra
