    Re: Dell OC

    Still waiting, mate.
Got an email from Scan today suggesting I change to the 512MB XFX HD4650 XXX, 1000MHz GDDR2, GPU 650MHz as they don't know when the 1GB card will be in.
Or back to the one you've got? 800MHz memory clock, 600Mhz Core but DDR3. Confused as usual !?!
Correct me if I'm wrong, I think I've just found the decider - Misco recommends a 400w PSU for the HD4650 & 300w for the HD4550. I've only got 305w!

    Re: Dell OC

HD4650 arrived during the week, Farcry2 arrived yesterday. No problems installing & no PSU problems. COD4 is averaging 30 fps at stock settings. Farcry2 (in story mode) is 11 fps, still playable - 16 if I change all the advanced settings to medium. Thanks for all your help. Any other thoughts welcome.

    Re: Dell OC

    ohh thats odd
i never realised that dual core made such a difrence then again its double the power so course it would
lol dont take much notice of me im going dumb with this stupid cold i got
if you say farcry is averaging 11fps on high settings thats not bad
you could have a look to see if there are any mods compatible with your cpu but if your kids arnt bothered about the lag i wouldnt risk it
