Watching TV the other night about the Welsh guards in the Falklands.......and no one has taken the blame for the cockup of leaving the troops and munitions etc as sitting ducks on sir Galahad, for 6 hours.
as an ex RN member[12 Years Fleet Air Arm] It make me ******* angry when all the wannabee John Waynes start waffling abought "going in" with guns blazing.Dont they realise that we aint got many guns left..Troops who are treated like **** and "warriors"without boots.Our servicemen are treated like second class idiots..not only no ammunition or boots but their loved ones at home live in squalor..Yet the MOD can spend billions on new offices for shiny a***s.Its got to be diplomatic..after 10 years of these p***s in office do we wonder?I know its just about sorted now..but we couldnt "fight" our way out of a paper bag.I think that when the next "adventure" arrives[and it will] we should send all the MOD "BIG WIGS" out on the front line and put the rest of the MOD to work..refurbishing the service mens quarters

i found it slightly disturbing the way they all seemed to be thanking the iranians and apologising over and over again,this didnt seem forced upon them and made me feel sick to my stomach having to watch that.
Well they were all young and it was a two week holiday all inclusive, erm well not much site seeing but how many people get to be on worldwide TV.............something to show your grandchildren.

When you say we lived like pigs you were right.....Naval accomodation is ****e..........RAF/Army was far better quarters. I think they thought as we are used to bunks then we could sleep in any old doss hole!
To blame the labour government is ridiculous though....

If Pigs could fly..if we add a few more countries into the pot..lets say Turkey..Maybe..err.. it could become so much more than 800 Million..there are no limits to those who could pay into the scheme..and become members..you name them.How many countries would take up Arms ..and police the world.The French sent anAircraft Carrier to one shindig..it got delayed and to my knowledge is still on route..can you imagine the rag tag and bobtail of such a "fighting force".NATO?..served a purpose but is long dead.The personal insults can be be answered later.I carried a bucket around for 12 years and whenever i was approached by a senior officer I would brandish that bucket and be told "to carry on lad"Blame the Labour Gov?..I blame them for all our ills..pensions..graft[sleeze]forces meltdown pensions ..is dislike another PC no no?
hahah he is completely right, I have a high ranking family member who is in the Mod and he lives in a free palace and if he wants some work done on his house then it is done straight away.
