    Miracle Economies

Alan Greenspan gets a spanking in 2003:

Ben Bernanke gets a spanking from Ron Paul this year:

YouTube - Ron Paul Schools Ben Bernanke Again

Simply put, why don't we have politicians like that in this country? New Labour have presided over a massive loss of jobs in our manufacturing (I.E. wealth creating) sector, and a massive increase in the 'wealth gap' between rich and poor, and yet I've not seen anyone take a public whoopin' as a result.

The over-50s in this country (thanks in part, I guess, to massive house price inflation) now control something north of 80% of the country's wealth. I'm 28, and I earn about £30k a year, and after my rent and bills are paid I struggle to afford one annual holiday and a £300 annual PC upgrade.

I reckon a lot of people on these boards are my age or younger. IMO, we now have it worse than our parents did. So what are we going to do about it?

    Re: Miracle Economies

    START A REVOLUTION!!!!

BRING THE WEALTH BACK TO THE MASSES!!!

The fat, stupid, lazy ass masses, who can barely be bothered to get out of bed in the morning....

It's probably actually a good idea. Overthrow the government, kill off some old fat cats, then with no governement the benefits stop, and all those lazy bums have to work or starve.

I think I might be missing something....

No, that sounds good. I've no more time for lazy slackers than I have for politicians and fatcats.

    Re: Miracle Economies

The entire problem is that the system is fixed. Its the same type of greedy arsehole + chums combo that gets into power every time because we don't have any choice. As much as it looks like a 3 party system it really isn't thanks mainly to the medias influence and the millions of doesy idiots who vote Labour because their parents did or Con because they always vote con. I personally think we should ban political parties all together and simply have elected individuals that made up their minds on issues without party interference, voting in parliment has been a joke and an exercise in theater for the past decade because of the huge majority Labour has had and the fact that there are just not enough rebel back benchers. I would like to see people have to actually investigate who they are voting for and vote for people on that basis rather than some sort of mis-guided idea about what the party stands for and a manifesto that will be ignored for the next 4 years until the next election.

Not sure how we could make this happen, revolution is one option but then the police have a lot more guns than us...
