So long as it's a peaceful, lawful protest I fail to see why you're gobsmacked. Sure, you might find their views distasteful, but it's part of living in a society that supports free speech. I guess you'd have been one of the many who thought that the Nick Griffin shouldn't have been allowed on Question Time? You don't get to have free speech, but only within the confines of what you agree with.
For the avoidance of doubt, I fully support his right to be made to lock an arse in front of the country.
To be honest, I am gobsmacked myself.
Regardless of free speech, this..group, call themselves a platform to extremist movements, as quoted on the website: -
Islam4UK is said to call itself a "platform" for the extremist movement al-Muhajiroun
It's the extremists that launch suicide attacks on the UK and other countries, it's the extremists that turned up to a repatriation ceremony then started spouting crab and then were protected by the police.
They go on about the "Brutal Crusade" what about when in there own country, there so called leaders were killing innocent people as well? Is it not a brutal crusade to launch suicide attacks against INNOCENT civilians and kill them?
Why should a group, with such links and such in my opinion disgusting views be allowed to hold such a march?
shoot them. shoot them all. innocent or not (like our own) shoot them.

I would pick them all up and drop them off in international waters

Being a platform for extremism, i can't think that the march will be totally peacefull. No doubt as with other groups of similar persuasion they'd be calling for other muslims to rise up against anything and everything that's upset them that morning and will be preaching for the death of our troops.
This would be silly for the police to allow such a march.

This is one of the people from Islam4UK, trolling a little to try stir the english defence league people up (violence for them is a good thing, lets them play the victim and get people who stand up to them arrested) but nonetheless a serious look at just how these guys think:

Tbh they are free to protest against the war but its quite clear that they doing this to aggrevate the locals. A town full of soldiers and one that regularly holds funeral processions for soldiers, is down right stupid. In essence they are trolling. If they truly wanted to protest against the war, then Westminster would be the better choice.
They should be allowed to march and the people of the town should all stay at home as their own protest. Let them march to empty streets.
"Free speech includes not only the inoffensive but the irritating, the contentious, the eccentric, the heretical, the unwelcome and the provocative provided it does not tend to provoke violence. Freedom only to speak inoffensively is not worth having."
I can't see it going ahead to be honest - surely it would fall under inciting hatred and the police would block it?
