If he killed her, he should rot in jail... In theory I agree with the death sentence for some crimes, but I do believe it is an easy way out. I'd stick him in prison with the general population. None of this seperate room in another part of the prison away from any danger..

As for his mother giving him an alibi... WTF.. When is she in court? Because if he is guilty then he clearly wasnt at home with his mother. She must have known he was hiding something... Did she stand up in court and say her son was with her, because if she did, then surely its perjury at least...

As for putting the blame on his choice of music.... Pathetic..... They've done the same with movies and video games before... Blame those for someones actions.... You know... One of the most violent programmes on TV... The News..... But does it ever get mentioned in murders, hell no...

But the girl had an oppinion and she died anyway, he did take that life after all and she had no choice in the matter but as a murderer he can have a choice??

One thing I wish they would do is when trying these people you should show a reconstruction of the events with no detail left out, the fear, the ferocity, the violence, because I find it infuriating that people are kept away from the truth about what assault/murder or rape (some examples) is, we have a sanitised view of it because we never see the gritty realism that I think would change alot of peoples minds about sentences for those who commit violent crime.

its amazing how matter of fact details become in court or in papers when the true terrror of the victim is virtually left out and people just cant visualise the damage this caused them.

I personally don't think that the sentences handed down currently are unreasonable. If you are suggesting that juries are given a sanitised version of events, I can assure you that they're not.

i think there unreasonable - they dont get a sanitized version of events, but people often get out a long time before they should (read about a rapist who got 8 years, let out in 3) 3 years for ruining a womans life ? how nice of the law system

i think they should stay compulsory for 80% of the sentance given, and only a bit of leway to totally reformed charactors,

they did the crime, so they should do the time.....and life, should mean life
