why is it this country will have huge celebrations in London for St Patricks Day, and everyone knows its St Paddys day, yet today is St Georges Day, the Patriot saint of England and nothing...no parties, nobody drinking an English beer, no special deals on Carling (Guiness). It makes me sick, all of this political correctness!

Cream, then jam. My local has some sort of St George's day thing today, hopefully it won't attract too many rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish as we're going for a drink to celebrate my brother's birthday.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

Good point! Fantastic point actually. The best point I've heard since I heard a better point.

    Thats well out of order.

EDIT: Very good point. I never thought of it, nor thought to check. Great point.

    Cream then jam.
And it's "scone" for goodness sake. Not "scon".

I believe we do this every weekend. Maybe we just forgot what for ages ago. We are a nation of boozers and 'Paddy's/Guiness/Irish Cliché/Sad hats day' just gives us an excuse to drink a decent pint once in a while. But every day's St Georges day down my locals. Minus the stupid outfits thank god. Everytime I see someone waring a Large guiness hat or St Georges cross, i just want to point at them and shout "you boring, predictable and painfully unamusing gimp!". Sorry, but i do. Am I a bad person? Why do fat blokes who hang around in groups if complete ******s ware these silly things? Are they funny? no. Do they look cool? no. Are they going to pull better? no. There must be a reason they look so smug. I must have been missing something all these years.
