You sure you will have a use for a RAID1 made of 1TB discs? Also I think the Hitachi UltraStart 1TB would be faster and slightly more reliable (enterprise drive apparently).

I'm sure he will use the drives for everything except the OS, yup. Hitachi/IBM Deathstars left a nasty taste in my mouth, I'm not ready to forgive just yet.

The build looks good. I think the 280x would be a good option. Good luck with the build!
What stress testing required without any tuning? Unless I missed the part where memory timings were promised to be tightened or the GPU over clocked.
I naturally assume that modern PCs are near rock stable (unless something is playing up or is having a boo-boo).
A few passes of memtest and some Prime95 just to check everything does what it is supposed to do without overheating.
I'd rather find out before I hand it over so I don't have to go back and sort it out later.
Missed the fact that it wasn't for yourself. Hope it will serve loyally for years to come.
