3XS P55 won't POST

Hi,

I was going to use my PC this morning but changed my mind whilst it was booting and depressed the ATX power button for 4 seconds to switch off - unfortunately it now won't start at all. Turning on the power all fans start but there are no POST beeps or signal to the monitor. The DRAM LED on the P7P55D PRO MOBO remains illuminated so I have tried pressing the MemOK! button which causes the LED to go through a sequence of flashing and forcing a number of reboots but with no end success.

Any ideas of what other basic options I could investigate before contacting Support ?

Hi Mev

Please try and clear the Cmos by removing the battery for 10mins, if the system posts once the battery is refitted please reload Profile 2 I have emailed you instructions on this and they are also on a sticky at the top of this forum

Thanks for the advice Ben but still no POST. Clearing the CMOS did stop the DRAM_LED from illuminating after powering up but still no beeps or video signal - just all fans and drives whirring. Looking more like a hardware issue now so will contact you regarding onsite or RTB options.

Thanks guys for your help and exceptional service in sorting out the issue with the minimum of fuss. System returned, fault diagnosed, new motherboard fitted, OC'd, stress tested and sent back to me good as new in less than a week. All backed up by daily e-mail updates to keep me fully in the picture.

I must say I'm very impressed with the overall experience and remain a more than happy customer !
