    Trying to cancel

    Hello,
I am trying to cancel an order I made for a 3XS system. I've used the webform and emailed enquiries a few times but nobody is responding and my order is still showing on the system. Am I doing something wrong?

    Re: Trying to cancel

If you're contacting us on Saturday, remember that we don't have all the full team on saturdays.

Someone should be in contact with you on monday regarding this.

Can you at least confirm that my cancellation will go through without issue, as I would like to order replacement parts but I cannot do that until I know that my cancellation has been accepted.

    Re: Trying to cancel

The retail lines close at 14:00 hours - so unfortunately I wont be able to check until I'm back at work on monday.

If you can PM - can you drop me a message with your name and details please?

Scan are refusing to cancel my order

I have tried many times (via email and the webform) to cancel my order (E1473762) and get a refund.

It states quite clearly on the website that a cancellation can easily be done using the webform or via email. I have tried both. Scan are telling me that it is "best" to change the order rather than cancel it. This appears to be a way to get out of providing a refund and is a very cheap and nasty way of doing business.

If I had ordered from Ebuyer, I would not be having these problems, a single email would suffice. I should not have to argue for a refund, this is ridiculous.

Has anyone else had a refund from Scan?

I ordered a 3XS system from Scan but had to cancel it. Scan were very quick to take my order and respond to sales queries but they are refusing to give me a refund.

My order has not been built and shipped, yet they are refusing to cancel it.

Does anyone else have experience with this company in obtaining a refund?

This is the worst service I've seen. They are actually arguing with me, explaining why it's best not to give me a refund and instead advising me to change the order so that they keep the money. With Ebuyer, all I have to do is submit a form and the refund is processed quickly.

I have submitted numerous forms and emails to Scan to ensure that they are received, however, I haven't received a single response.

Why are Scan being so mean about this? I am now panicing that I will not see any of the £750 I paid upfront for this order. They are ignoring all my emails and webform requests. My order has not been sent out, it should not be a problem to cancel my order and refund my card.

Then why are my emails and webform requests getting no response? Why is the only communiation with Scan possible through a forum?

Responses to sales requests are really fast, but responses to cancellation requests are ignored. I'm being told I need to change my order and a refund isn't possible. So that means you keep my £750 and I get nothing?

You must be able to understand my worry and frustration from this. It's not nice, I can assure you, I'm getting absolutely no pleasure from worrying about the loss of my £750. I really can't afford this as it is.

    Re: Trying to cancel

Firstly I have merged all the threads together, please don’t make multiple threads about the same issue, it really doesn’t help anyone.

You have sent scan a total of 27 mails over the weekend trying to cancel your order, for obvious reasons this has not/cannot be processed over the weekend.

Scan is not being mean, Arguing with or giving you bad service you asked for a priority build as you needed the system urgently. As a gesture of goodwill this was done at no extra charge and the machine has been custom built, softwared and is due to ship tonight.

Although I am very sorry to lose your custom, please accept this confirmation that your system order has been cancelled and a refund will be issued right away.

The only reason for the emails and webforms submitted is because I am getting no response. Most of them were submitted this morning, not over the weekend. The pre-sales replies were near instant so I can't understand why post sales replies are not.

This is the same reason I have posted on the forum, because I am getting no response from them using their own webform or email. I was genuinely worried about my finances.

Thank you for sorting this out for me eventually, I acknowledge that you have cancelled my order and I look forward to seeing the refund on my online credit card statement.

I am sorry things have turned out this way. I swear to you I am not trying to cause trouble. But i could barely afford the cost of the computer in the first place, so I was very worried about what might happen.
