    Order.

    Good evening.
    I ordered a system from yourselves on 12th Sept.
    Today I received an email saying you have booked the system to be built on the 29th Sept and are hoping to have my system completed ready for collection on the 4th Oct.

    If I had known the time from ordering to starting building was so long (17 days), I would have bought just the parts and got it built locally.

    Would I be better off cancelling the order and buying the parts elsewhere if I wanted a system before then end of the month?

    I just had exactly the same email.

    Except I ordered mine on the 9th! So I have an even bigger gap between ordering and build day!

    if you ordered a really expensive system then I would think that SCAN are the people you want to be dealing with. If it's sub £600 then maybe local will be quicker.

    There is no "queue jumping" stock is allocated, if in stock when the order comes in.

    My sympathies. My order is scheduled to enter build today, but according to the tracker it is still in the "awaiting parts" stage. Wish I knew what bits were causing the hold-up. Ah well.

    LOL mine has just been put back another 3 days so looks like waiting time is a pretty much a month from order date.

    To be fair to Scan at least they are keeping you informed about the status of your order. I can think of several other companies that would keep you in the dark for weeks and not say anything till you've chased them about it.
