    Unhappy Extended warranty woes

    I am the proud owner of a 3Xs system which I purchased with an extra two years of warranty.

    Unfortunately the machine developed a fault, which I reported (the extended bit of the warranty having been sold on to a third party - Burkes) on the 27th October.

    Sadly I am still waiting for an engineer to visit and sort my machine out. It is a joke. I have had to chase and chase with no communication coming from either Burkes or the engineer. I have no idea what the issue is and am disgusted with the level of service that I am NOT receiving.

    If Scan are going to offer these warranties, then they have to ensure that the companies they sell them onto are providing the service that should be expected. Not one where i am having to do all the chasing around. For a company that advertises about satisfied customers, well I can tell you I am definitely not one at the moment.

    The quality of support isreflectingvery badly on Scan and I will seriously reconsider ever buying from them again.

    I would appreciate this being looked at by Scan and me being contacted to tell me what is happening and when am likely to see my machine fixed.

    Hi Ben

    As far as I can tell I have an issue on the motherboard whereby any device that is connect via the sata controller gets I/O errors and one of the two graphics cards has died.

    I have reported these issues to Burnetts and have had to chase them, aprt from one initial phone call from the engineer I have had no communication in getting ofor a month apart from when I have phoned them.

    Most frustrating.
