    3xs setting

    hi i got a new computer today but it is saying it is at 3.3 when it should be at 4.6 can any one tell me where the profile is in the bois

    All depends on what machine you have.

    If it's Sandybridge based (going off the clock speeds your expecting I imagine it is) then no it won't show the overclock even if it's there. You need to download the reviewer pack edition of CPUZ from : http://www.cpuid.com/news/36-cpuid_r...dy_bridge.html to varify cpu speeds as windows won't show it on that chipset.

    Also I've just been reminded that speed step will slow down the cpu when it isn't under full load and that maybe turned on, depending upon how it is configured. If you run the updated CPUZ client and Prime 95 so that it is maxing out the cpu that should then show you how fast the cpu overclock has been set.
