    Positive Scan Experience

Ordered my 3XS bundle on Sunday 3rd.
Received a couple of emails on 4th.
Another on the 5th to say the bundle was built and about to be tested.
Received 2 more emails on 6th to say that it had passed testing and would be delivered on 7th.
Received an email on 7th, at 08:05 to say the bundle would be delivered between 10:15 and 11:15.
Bundle was delivered at ~ 10:30.
    It was nicely packaged.
I installed it over the weekend and now have a super fast, cool and whisper quiet system.

I not know not every order goes as smoothly as it could, but credit where it's due, I couldn't have asked for a better service.

Well done. But unfortunately a company shows it's true customer service abilities is when things go wrong. Customer service is easy when things go to plan.

Stomski, I completely agree but I thought it would be nice to say something positive. With a bit of luck a "thank you" from me might encourage the scan peeps to be just a little bit more helpful when things don't go as smoothly as they did for me. Saying thanks certainly shouldn't harm.

    Re: Positive Scan Experience

Well I have nothing but praise for scan..Ok yes the wait time was long for my build..And I understood that when I ordered my system. as I read forums and other sources of information .after I received my system I had big problems with my water cooling and both graphics cards died .a quick call from me to scan a guy drove all the way from Bolton to my house in Chesham to come and pick my system up..no charge at all fixed my pc in fact I ended up with a better system then i had in the first place and i got some cash back as some of the parts had come down in price since I ordered it.so there you have it .I will gladly order from scan again ,,,what some people don’t seem to grasp is what goes into building a pc it’s not just a case of throwing some parts together and installing windows takes fine tuning of all the parts to get the best out of it

Maybe you should bare in mind, that as posted in other threads there is a 2 - 3 week wait period on builds due to being busy. I imagine they get a vast amount of e-mails during a day. Patience goes a long way.

Agree with you there Gary. I've bought 3 PC's in the last 2 years, 1 from Scan and 2 from other "major players" whom I won't name as I can't say their names without a lot of swearing involved !!! Having been totally let down in the after sales department by the other 2 companies and probably for one of them by the sales team configuring a gaming rig for me that was frankly never viable, the service I've received from Scan has been like night and day.

Ordered the PC after discussing it on the phone with a chap that actually knew what he was talking about. System turned up within 3 weeks which is what I was told. Apparently the memory failed a stress test and had to be replaced but at least they do have QA checking...unlike some! Was actually delivered to me by a bloke in his car, all packaging removed and setup onto the internet for me for just £35! This was probably the cheapest carriage for a system I've ever paid and never has anybody set it up for me too. System was fine until a couple of weeks or so ago when the storage HDD failed. It was a 1tb Caviar black which has a really good reliability record afaik. No problems though - was on the phone to them and a replacement was received by me and installed within 24 hours. Was walked through the installation by Ben too which was a piece of cake anyway.

Today I had an issue with the Aquaero 4.00 system. Again had 2 phonecalls and 4 emails from Ben and whilst it was actually trickier to sort than first expected (mostly due to the loss of the backups from the failed HDD) it should be fine by tomorrow when he emails me the 3XS BWE profile for it. [Update - received first thing as promised - system back to normal]

Anyway, the long and short of it is that whilst I've had a couple of issues (1 of which is probably of my own making somehow) the service I have received from Scan has been exemplary. I will certainly be buying my next system from them and will probably be extending my warranty with them on this one too if I'm able.

Cheers guys at Scan. You're awesome IMO!
