RAID 3TB disks on Asus P8P67 Pro mobo

Has anyone here tried setting up RAID on 3TB drives on the Asus P8P67 Pro mobo.

I ordered my system on 10th June and apparently scan are unable to RAID (mirror) the 2 x 3TB storage drives which I have added to my config. I am certainly no expert in PC building but according to the following link this is possible since the 1704 Bios update on 22nd June 2011:-

    P8P67 Pro 1704 BIOS
    1. 2.2TB or larger HDD can be supported under RAID mode.
(Need to install IRST 10.5 version driver first, you can find it under "SATA" catalogue)

Several emails have gone back and forth relating to this issue but scan who i thought were the experts in this field do not seem to have an answer although I don't see that there is an issue with the above fix.

When I placed the order 10 working days was specified to complete the system. It's now double that and to be honest the communication notifying me of each stage has been a complete joke.

There are sooo many negative posts on these forums about delays and people not being kept up to date with what is happening with their systems. I understand delays can happen and I would prefer it to take a bit longer to get the system I want configured correctly but there is just no communication between SCAN and the customer. It seems to me like they now have my money so you don't really matter now.

Has anyone got any feedback if you have been successful or unsuccessful in setting up RAID on 3TB drives.

Also have SCAN got any feedback on where we go with this now as i've been very patient up until now .

    Thanks

As SCAN always state the delivery/ completion times are estimates and when you get yourself will more than likely depend upon how busy they are.

Just had an email confirming that the newer 1850 BETA BIOS Update (that I informed SCAN was available) has now been applied and the 3TB drives have now been configured as RAID and the system is being tested and will be passed for QC shortly

    Thankyou Rick for the update

I had my rant so I just wanted to end this thread with praise where praise is due

Recieved my system yesterday and the whole deilvery process went through without any hassle what so ever. The delivery man gave me a time on Monday and even called yesterday to say he was running behind even though it was only by 30 minutes which was nice. System was unpacked, connected up and booted to ensure all was working ok.

The system looks absolutely amazing inside and out and the performance so far from what I've seen is also amazing. It was definately worth the wait, just a bit more communication would have been appreciated during the build process.

    Thankyou SCAN.
