    XFX 6870 Warranty...

    Ordered an XFX 6870 yesterday. It arrived today!

    Amazing delivery Scan.

    However, on registering the card with XFX they told me that XFX offer NO WARRANTY IN EUROPE.

    They told me to deal with the supplier - Scan.

    Now, Scan say there is a 5 year warranty on this card but only 2 years RTB...if my card when caput in say 4 years, are Scan gonna fulfil the warranty they advertised?

    I got this card specifically because of the 5 year warranty advertised, there are cheaper 6870s available from Scan.

    ps. want to also add that the product was opened and had damage to the box (damage relating to someone opening the box too forcefully) - is this normal? Feel like I've been given some dodgy return or something, seriously thinking about returning this over this issue.

    The correct system here I believe is not that XFX don't accept warranty returns from Europe, but that you have to send returns to the US (at considerable expense I'm afraid). However, companies not honouring warranties is nothing new, most of the time if something fails after the manufacturer will accept it you just have to buy a new product.
