A problem with my i7 bundle

Yo, i think you can see what bundle i ordered but just incase, i bought a 'SLIK Core i7 BUNDLE Overclocked at 4.0 Ghz', a 1TB HDD, 160GB HDD(backup) and Windows 7 64bit which all arrived on friday.
all the components went in properly and everything works but heres step by step where my problems occured :

    1) put the bundle into my case fitted the PSU, gfx card(ATI 5850), cd rom, sound card n (1TB)harddrive in and everything boots up fine

    2) i put the Windows7 64bit disk in and begin installation, created a new partition etc and it starts to install but i got a Bluescreen at around 70%, i formated the HDD numerous times and the point it would crash varied(at one point i got to the point where i put the product key in and it bluescreened)
    3) i thought id try taking my dads HDD out of his pc and putting my new one in, then installing windows on it via his PC which worked perfectly first time. took the HDD out and put back in my PC, and it booted up ok but as soon as i tried to install any kind of driver(ASUS motherboard CD, ATI drivers etc) id get the same bluescreen around 90% installation.
    4) looked around the internet and people with the same problem fixed it by reducing their ram.
so i did some trial and error taking out ram sticks and seeing if i could install windows onto the HDD using only 1stick of ram. The first one i tried bluescreend during installation, so i took it out and put the 2nd in and windows installed fine, then i took it out and reinstalled windows with the 3rd stick and it also installed fine (god this is alot to type i hope you're following xD)
    5) i tried pairing a stick that worked, with the one that bluescreend then installing windows and it bluescreend as suspected. just to double check i took the bluescreeny one out and put the other stick that worked in and boom windows installed fine.

(gasp) So this to me looks like one of the RAM sticks is faulty (correct me if im wrong). I also tried putting my old HDD(windows 7 32bit) in with all 6gig of ram and everything works like it did on my old pc but 32bit only uses a max of 4gig of ram (amirite?) so doesnt really confirm anything.

PS the only part of the error ive written down is "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
"STOP: 0x00000050" if that helps in anyway

    Thanks, Jay

I suggest you run a memory test to confirm whats going on, you can download an iso or dos exe from here

The bundle would have already been MEM tested but doesnt mean a fault has not occured.

    Drop a Query Here https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Sup...px?QueryType=T

hopefully we can get this sorted.

    Regards
