    DSR Laptop Return

Any update or final word on it?

I'm having this issue myself now. I even read the cancellation policy before buying, but since the laptop comes with no software to unseal, i didnt see how this can apply. Scan like to add their own interpretation of "opening the box" with "breaking the seal".
    Pretty ridiculous customer service really.
Why don't they offer to deduct the OEM windows from the refund???
Or...put in bold letters under cancellation policy: "All windows laptops are exempt from DSR 7-day cooling off period". Would be helpful...oh wait, you'd grab less money..

    Re: DSR Laptop Return

Found an interesting item on the Scan terms and conditions:
    Section f):
"We guarantee that the goods will be of satisfactory quality when delivered by our carrier".

When I complained of the poor quality of the laptop I ordered, I was basically told I had no rights or recourse. Perhaps this should read "unless it's a windows laptop, in which case there's no guarantee of quality whatsoever".

Seems a bit odd and unfair, I could potentially buy a £2k laptop, and my rights to be happy with it go out the window because I might have copied the £50 software on it...
