S27A950 Problems

Hi,

I received my S27A950 on Wed 24th but only had time to set it up late that evening.
Unfortunately there appears to be an issue with the colour rendition.
There is red fringing to desktop text, photo below.



In addition there is a rainbow effect to text in the tab header when browing the web, picture below. Looks like it's probably due to the same effect as the red tinted text.



I have tested with both DVI connections on my graphics card (GTX 280) and it does the same in both (note that Inever had this problem on my Dell 2405 that this monitor is replacing).
The monitor's 3D mode is turned off.
I'm running at 1920x1080. It does the same at 60Hz or 120Hz.

I also tried this using my laptop DVI connection and got the same result. This rules out the graphics card.

I have also tested with a different DVI cable with the same result.

I have tried altering brightness, contrast, sharpness etc.. Currently at
Brightness: 48
Contrast: 70
Sharpness 80

Can someone advise on the next step ?

I've also tried changing some settings, as below.

Sharpness 60. This reduces the fringing a little but everything's too soft for my liking, will set it back to 68.

I've set Gamma at Mode 3.
I've tried dropping the red ands green channels a little, but there's some blue fringing becoming evident as well after making those changes.
