    Constant Hiss from speakers

    Hi,

I received the Altec Lansing speakers yesterday and set them up.

The speakers seem to have a non stop constant hiss to them.

Its literally like a white noise type hiss to them which really gives you a headache after a while.

Is this normal for these speakers, a fault or what? I cannot believe they would sell speakers with this as it gets very grating soon.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue with them?

If its not normal and not something I can fix would I be able to return this under DSR and if so what is the procedure for this.

    Re: Constant Hiss from speakers

Have you tried connecting another device, such as an iPod or similar? Often on soundcards the line in and mic can cause interference on the connections so might be an idea to mute these if not in use and let us know how you get on..
