Question about returning a Antec Kuhler 620

    Hi,

I've been issued a RMA for an Antec Kuhler 620 which was making an irritating clicking/ rattling noise, after running it for a futher few days it doesnt actually appear to be as bad but its still got a definate clicking noise, ive had a few of these in the past and they havent done it, just wondering what the procedure is if I were to send it back but Scan deem it not faulty?

It probably wouldnt be too bad if my case was under the desk but as its right next to me it can be a little irritating

Do I get hit with a non fault diagnostic fee etc, return shipping costs ?

    Thanks

Re: Question about returning a Antec Kuhler 620

    Bradmax57,

I can confirm that if we are unable to replicate a fault we do charge for the testing and returns of non faulty goods, as the fault you are describing seems to be the most common type of failure with these items I would assume the fault would be diagnosed almost immediately.

Before processing the return, I would recommend that you gently shake the radiator while it is powered on, this would hopefully move any trapped air inside the unit, see http://forums.hexus.net/antec-care-h...-620-pump.html

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, i will certainly try that before I send it back, as I have to dismantle the pc this evening anyway

How much would I be looking at if it you didnt find my fault out of interest?

Re: Question about returning a Antec Kuhler 620

my antec kuhler 620 start producing noise after 10 months
it is some kind of vibration/rattling sound, either in the pump or radiator (most probably pump)
I haven't try shaking the radiator yet because it was mounted, i am too lazy to dismantle it
but i did try shaking the pipe, no cure

i will try to shake the radiator when i am free
or try the magnet trick posted in youtube [youtu.be/tcgVzf2tsjI]
anyway, i have to say i am disappointed with antec product
