I'm aware this was probably resolved one way or another last week, however my speakers have been doing the same thing for a month or so. They've just been sitting in a dead pile because I my initial thought was they were out of warranty. I've recently stumbled on a goldmine of old reciepts I realised the warranty only expires next month!
My speakers are in testing now, unfortunately for me when they were plugged in for 10 mins or so bizarrely they were working fine. But taking into account this problem happens randomly, and these ARE defect speakers will I be entitled to a new set? The ones in testing had reached a point where they became useless because it was happening ALL THE TIME, and I can provide many many links of people having the same problems. Like I mentioned previously, they haven't been used in a month or so. Whether they stop working tomorrow or in another months time judging from the messages here, because mine are in warranty, the trade of goods act mean that SCAN (who I bought the item from in good faith) can do more to help me, and I shouldn't need to pay the return fees as its in warranty/recieve a new set of speakers.
Is this correct?

I've added relevant links/videos on this post to my exact problem. It happens mid range on the volume control, and the cracking stops when you plug in headphones (which for me is pointless). You don't get sound out the speakers with headphones plugged in before its suggested.
