    Unhappy SP2200

I'm aware this was probably resolved one way or another last week, however my speakers have been doing the same thing for a month or so. They've just been sitting in a dead pile because I my initial thought was they were out of warranty. I've recently stumbled on a goldmine of old reciepts I realised the warranty only expires next month!

My speakers are in testing now, unfortunately for me when they were plugged in for 10 mins or so bizarrely they were working fine. But taking into account this problem happens randomly, and these ARE defect speakers will I be entitled to a new set? The ones in testing had reached a point where they became useless because it was happening ALL THE TIME, and I can provide many many links of people having the same problems. Like I mentioned previously, they haven't been used in a month or so. Whether they stop working tomorrow or in another months time judging from the messages here, because mine are in warranty, the trade of goods act mean that SCAN (who I bought the item from in good faith) can do more to help me, and I shouldn't need to pay the return fees as its in warranty/recieve a new set of speakers.

    Is this correct?

    EDIT: http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-review...rs-review.html

I've added relevant links/videos on this post to my exact problem. It happens mid range on the volume control, and the cracking stops when you plug in headphones (which for me is pointless). You don't get sound out the speakers with headphones plugged in before its suggested.

    Re: SP2200

Thanks Mike, I did that already and just want to say - fair play to Mike and Dip at SCAN.

They never detected the fault in testing, but I recieved this email today.

"We have had your speakers on test and we have not experienced a fault with the product. However as I appreciate that this could be an intermittent fault I am willing to offer you an exchange. Unfortunately we do not stock the Corsair SP2200 speakers any more, so you can choose between LN 43316 or LN 48637. If you are not happy with these replacements and wish to pursue another set of Corsair SP2200 then you can send them back to Corsair direct and then will issue a replacement as they are still within Corsair's warranty period. I cannot issue a refund for the product as it has gone faulty past the first 28 days of your purchase.

    I hope this helps,

    Regards

    Dip Saurav Dey Dhar
    Scan Computers"

I personally think that the solution was dot-on. Dip acknowledged the fault and Mike got back to me within 24 hours. I must admit I was worried at one point, but it was dealt with fairly and timely. Great support, I will be back again.
