Ordered parts for a computer for my grandad on the 24/04/2007 consisting of:
Intel 4400 Core2Duo CPU Retail
Gbyte GA-965QM-DS2 Mobo
Corsair DDR2 TWINX 2GB PC6400
430W SEASONIC S12-430 + TIES
Recieved the parts 08/05/07
I put it all together, the system would turn on, but nothing would appear on the screen. Tested all the parts in my system and find that the motherboard is at fault.
So i make an RMA request for the motherboard on the 15/05/2007 the motherboard is collected 2 days later.
According to Scan's website they recieved the motherboard on the 8/6/2007! I know this is not true as i rang up city link to see where it was and it had been delivered on something like the 24th May. Scan aknowledge that there has been a fault with the motherboard the day they 'recieved' it and it takes them a whole 4 days to pick and ship it back to me after the invoice was printed on the 8th. So i recieved the motherboard this morning a month after recieveing it for the first time, put all the components back into in and....... SAME PROBLEM
I know that the motherboard is the problem as I tried all the other components in my rig, and Scan also confirmed that the motherboard was faulty when testing it. For all i know they just shipped the same motherboard back to me.
SO AFTER OVER 1 MONTH OF FAFFING ABOUT IM BACK TO SQUARE ONE. MY GRANDAD IS NOT A HAPPY CHAPPY AND I FOR ONE WILL NOT BE USING SCAN AGAIN ONCE THIS HAS BEEN SORTED OUT!
