    Delayed Order Notification?

Placed an order for my new build yesterday and rang up today to see if all was going smoothly (I'm getting it delivered to a different address to the one on my credit card) and was told it would be picked and dispatched by 7pm tonight (really needed it all by Saturday )

I just got an email saying

"Please regard this email as a notification of delay in your order due to unexpected volumesin our warehouse. Please rest assured your custom is greatly valued and we will process your order with the utmost urgency. Your order has still been booked for a next working day delivery from the point of despatch and we will send further emails to confirm this."

What exactly does unexpected volumes mean? Stock unavailable? Couldn't find the stock? No room in the city link van ?

Just a little curious (and maybe a liiiiiittle bit impatient ) so any info would be lovely

Unexpected volumes mean just that, they've got more orders than they know what do with and yours was unfortunately selected to not be picked.

The main thing to remember is unfortunetly Scan are just far too good at customer service, so lots of people want to use them I think ChrisP said something like 1000 orders a day!

Hmmm everything appears to have been picked (serial numbers for everything are on the invoice too), so I guess it was just a backlog of orders to ship?

Kinda would like it all by Saturday (I've booked Sunday off work to build it all!) - any ideas how much it would cost to upgrade to Saturday delivery? :S (I'm using Multiplay free delivery hax at the moment )

Help with me with this one Scan guys and there's beer at i31 for you!

    Cheers

[edit : Ta for that Lucio, this is my first order with them and the customer service here (and on the MPUK forums) seems top notch ]

No worries! I suggest you give them a ring in the morning to see what can be done, it could be a little pricy depending on the weight of the items (around £30 mark??), but if you ask nicely, maybe they can do something about that

Hmm I can try giving them another ring, however I don't suppose there's anything the Scan guys on this forum can do for me?
