    hiper type r psu gone faulty - who to speak to?

    my hiper type r 570watt psu seems to have died on me for no apparent reason. i got it in november 05. is it still under warranty and if so who should be sorting it for me hiper or scan?

    its over a year old so probably have to go straight to hiper. You usually only get 1 year with your supplier then the rest is with the manafacturer.

    All reliable PSU manufacturers have at least a three year warranty (not sure if Hiper fall in that category though).

    Regardless of whether its under Scan or Hiper, its easier to return to Hiper if out of the 'replacement warranty' with Scan.

    The only type r I could find was the 730w, but the warrentry is prob the same as yours, it's 36months (3 years), first year back to scan, 2nd - 3rd year subject to manufacturers warranty with Cooler Master.

    thanks for your help. i did see the other hiper one with the 3 year warranty but just wasn't sure about mine. i'll get in touch with hiper
