    Motherboard received faulty from RMA.

    Hello all

Unfortunately had to come on here for a small moan regarding an RMA. I originally returned an ASUS P5B Deluxe on RMA because of faulty RAM slots which was found to be so. This cost me just over £13 to return via City Link (Royal Mail would have been £20) but I thought this was a one off. When I received the new parcel it contained my returned box of bits with a different motherboard in. On inspection, the motherboard had a white sticker with Asus P5B Deluxe on it covering ASUS P5B-E plus on the motherboard. Weird I thought but everything looked like a P5B Deluxe so I installed it. Unfortunately it would not boot, black screen, loads of fans spinning, lights on etc. So I kept on plugging away with it until I found it would only boot with ram in DIMM B1 and/or B2. The first 2 ram slots just freeze the computer. Therefore I now have to RMA the board again at another £13 odd making it one hell of an expensive motherboard. When I e-mailed to request for pick up the reply was "Hi, unfortunately we would only offer a collection if the unit was within 28 days of purchase". I am politely asking if there is something you can do to help this situation.

    Many thanks

Well it seems that I have been sent a faulty B grade back after reading another thread on here about RMA's. Good customer support is essential when buying on the internet and sadly it seems lacking here. Does no-one at Scan want to help with this as I dont believe I should have to pay to send a faulty B grade back that was sent on an RMA.
