Go into the uGuru section of the bios... there will be a page with all kinds of stuff to do with frequencies that looks a bit like this:

although the above is for a Abit Quad-GT motherboard (thanks Clunk!), so it won't look quite the same.

You'll need to change the CPU : DRAM divider (it's just a ratio). The IP35-Pro BIOS will tell you what speed your RAM will then be running at for each setting.

So this is not technically overclocking?

    Thankyou!

Nope - setting the RAM to the correct frequency with a divider isn't overclocking in my book.

One thing to bear in mind is that you'll almost certainly have to increase the RAM voltage in order for it to reach 1066MHz. If you have the voltages on auto it'll set the DDR2 voltage to 1.8, as 1066 MHz DDR2 was never included in the JEDEC specifications. Might be best to find out who your RAM is manufactured by and look up the correct voltages on their website. For instance, I have OCZ PC8500 1066 MHz RAM in my system and it required 2.3 volts to operate correctly. I imagine your RAM will have similar requirements.

Re: Why is my memory running at 800 instead of 1066?

    hello,

Just found that the voltage for my modules should be 2.2. However, wouldn't raising the voltage be overclocking?

I honestly have to say SCAN have let me down big time on this one...

Thankyou for you help so far everyone!!!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I don't care if it is overclocking, just if it voids any warranties. The memory is rated to work at 1066, so why would overclocking it to 1066 affect the warranty?

Re: Why is my memory running at 800 instead of 1066?

By the way, doesn't the E6600 use a quad-pumped FSB running at 1066? Shouldn't it work fine with 1066 RAM at 1:1?

Have a read of the overclocking guide. Even if you arent overclocking, theres a load of info that should be useful.

Re: Why is my memory running at 800 instead of 1066?

I've been sending emails to scan, but I still haven't got a proper response on what to do, so I'll just assume it can't be done without increasing the voltage (overclocking?), and so they were not being entirely truthful about the IP-35 definetly supporting this RAM at 1066, no problems, no overclocking. I'll try and ask them why this happened, but I'm sure I won't get a response.

Thankyou so much everybody for your time and help, you've been great!!!
