Acer AL2416WB DVI/VGA problem

I've just received at Acer AL2416WB which I ordered for a friend on saturday. We umm'd and ahh'd about getting this as some website's seemed to list it with just a vga connector, but scan stated dvi and vga.

Now I've just checked the box and it only mentions vga, I went back to the product page to check it specifically mentioned dvi and its been changed?

Some sites mention dvi and vga others just vga??

Where do I stand if I open it and it hasn't got dvi?

I have checked please do not open the box if you contact returns we will collect this from you as it does not have DVI connections. Sorry if this has cause any inconvenience.
