    Delivery to Uni?

    Hey,

Now that i am at uni i have a new address that is obviosly different to my home address which is my billing address. I need to get a few things and will preferably be buying them through Scan. The only problem is that when entering my new address when filling out the payment stuff it claims that i can only have a change of delivery address when paying by credit card.

I currently have a VISA CONNECT, not a electron, A) will this count as a credit card for a change of delivery and B) if not how can i get it delivered here?

    cheers, Jeff

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

Well yes, But i would rather keep my actual address as my home address so all "official" stuff can just go there..

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

Im pretty sure that if you have ordered before with that card then you can just ring them up and ask them to change the delivery address. Ive done that before without any problems, just it might take an extra day for delivery.

you can only do it online with a credit card...if you give them a call like explicitlyrics suggested it should be ok

You can normally add 2 addresses onto your card for things like uni - I could with my HSBC / Mastercard

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

After your first order you can have alternate delivery addresses. Also if you use Verified by Visa or equivalent - that athenticates the transaction. When I order from SCAN I have some stuff sent home and some sent to work address as I wish. No problem. Advantage of work delivery is 1) there is ALWAYS someone there - so no carding, 2) sometime it is political not to let 'her indoors' be aware of more expenditure!

Physically big stuff is always sent home if too heavy / akward to carry home (a long tube then train journey).

So the answer is yes.... just set up a second address in yout SCAN account.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

If you are using a Visa Credit/Debit or Mastercard you can change the address for delivery even if it is your first order

This can be done online or via the sales line

    Best Regards

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

Your biggest problem will be with couriers if you live in halls. I had hellish times at uni trying to get stuff of people after couriers 'left with neighbour' without even checking I was in. I got the impression it was because I was on the 3rd floor and the were lazy gits.

    Re: Delivery to Uni?

Sorted, gave scan a phone this morning although was slightly concerned over how easy it was to change the delivery...

I phones the general enquiries and spoke to a woman and requested a change of delivery address. She asked for my order number and then where i wanted it delivered too and that was that. No question to check any of my personal details at all, not even my name or the previous address of where it was going.
