Saturday Delivery

I placed a online order earlier today for a 24" Samsung SM-245B - specifying guaranteed Saturday delivery for this Sat 13th. I then got a a email quoting...

The estimated delivery date of your order is 15 Oct 2007

Is this a mistake?

If you selected a Saturday delivery 13th delivery, the automated e-mails would still confirm the standard estimated dispatch date. This is a small bug we know about but the order itself will be booked down for delivery on Saturday.

If you would like to PM me your invoice number I will double check this to put your mind at rest

Yes, the automated email system doesn't take into account Saturdays and we are working on a remedy for this.

If you can PM me your invoice number I'll double check this is flagged as Saturday Delivery accordingly.

I've just checked and my theory is indeed correct, it is flagged as a Saturday delivery on our system but the email stated otherwise. Please see below the extended dispatch information ;

Extended delivery information:

Carriage Product: 2 - Pre 12:00
Requested Delivery Date: 13/10/2007
Fixed Delivery Date: Yes

I hope this has calmed any fears you had

That's great. I normally get most my goods delivered to work for convenience, but i just had a feeling that the 24"inch screen would not be a happy travelling companion - accompanying me on a rush hour tube train on my way home
