Saturday Delivery not turned up....so far 12:25

    guys,

what is an approriate ammount of time to wait in for City Link.

I've been sat in and awake by the door from 8:00 after paying £30 for Saturday delivery.

The city link parcel tracker suggests that the good are out for delivery today, but the cut off is supposed to be 12:00

I appriciate things can over run but whats the point of paying this preimum rate delivery charge when it is clear its not going to be met, I'm starting to wonder due to the attitude of the girl on the phone if it will actually turn up at all today and they'll do the "we tried to call but no-one was home" lie thats becoming all too common with couriers running late.

At what point does this become unacceptable / complaint time
What is scans policy on this as I've paid what I consider a reasonable ammount of charge for this delivery to not waste my Saturday sitting in waiting for a "maybe" turn up delivery.
    It is Inevitable.....

    I had this problem.
I ended up having to drive to Cardiff and collecting myself as CityLink, when they cant be bothered to deliver, always say that they tried and carded you when they don't.
This happened in 2 of my last 3 deliveries.

Luckily Cardiff is only 9 miles away and i had free delivery.

if city link say by 12pm and fail to meet that deadline i think they should at least give a partial refund of the extra cost for sat delivery by 12pm.

I have known city link to card when they have blatantly forget to pick up the parcel.

also they never wait very long at the door like 30 secs then they r off.

Same going on here. Not a happy bunny.

    edit:

Actually this wasn't for once bad service by Citylink, but by Scan. Really, really unhappy.

thats me done - nothing turned up can't get through to city-link, .

Scan - you guys are great for me, Roxanne was the perfect lady but really nothing she can do.

I can't really use scan any more for business purchases as the service is now too unreliable, and I appriciate thats the city links franchise issue, but while scan use this Franchise in my area, I can't use this service.

I'll get this order sorted eventually but thats it for order from Scan.

    Sorry guys, genuinly.

It's a common problem with City-Link (and nothing to do with Scan). I have three (yes three) orders sitting in the Gateshead warehouse and they have been since Saturday morning (despite then having a 'roaming' pick up service). City Link won't let me pick them up as 'the whole warehouse gets security locked for the Bank Holiday weekend' with no deliveries in or out.

In other words... even if you have paid for Saturday delivery this weekend it's unlikely you will get it (in the Newcastle area at least). I can't even pick the stuff up until Tuesday, will be just as easy letting them deliver it.

check your tracking number on the city-link website, just to check the status of your delivery

no no, nothing arrived. And I'm sure it will turn up on Tuesday, however I want an explination as to why
a.) I waited in on Saturday and nothing turned up.
b.) Why I phoned on 3 occasions 11/11:30/12:00 to find out where it was and on all 3 occasions I was told wait in - its on its way, it may just be running a bit late as we are busy
c.) Why I got charged 30 for Saturday before 12:00 delivery and it didn't turn up - I'll be expected a total refund of carrage I paid a preimum for this service so I at least want a total refund, if not some gesture as to why I waited in Saturday for package that didn't show without explination
