i order approx 500 quids worth of stuff from scan, as a im a newb i payed delivery but im wondering should i have associated the purchase with hexus anyway, so they and the sales guys here get recognition ?

I think you can only link your Hexus and Scan accounts after you have posted 25 times (these posts have to be meaningful ie not just posting single words to up your post history).

You've done 16 already, it's supprising how quick the posts mount up.
